The story of Lamppost Ministries did not begin with a Lamppost.

It began in 2010 with Run for God, a ministry created to help people connect endurance training with their walk with Christ. Over the years, God used that ministry in powerful ways, reaching thousands of communities around the world and showing us just how deeply people long for real connection, biblical truth, and authentic community.

In 2023, Run for God became part of Upward Sports. What could have felt like an ending was actually the beginning of something new.

Lamppost Ministries was born from that transition and from a clear conviction that biblical discipleship should happen in the everyday places where life is already happening. Whether around a table, on a run, out in the woods, on a walk, or through everyday living, Lamppost is designed to help people grow closer to Christ through community.
