One Region. Many Churches. One Community Challenge.

Beginning February 2, 2027, churches across Northwest Georgia and Southeast Tennessee will come together for the Lamppost Community Challenge, a 12-week journey designed to help people build stronger relationships, grow in biblical truth, and rediscover what real, lasting community looks like.

Participants will walk through More Than Neighbors: A Biblical Worldview of Community while gathering in a Lamppost group that fits naturally into everyday life. Some groups will run or walk. Others will gather around a table, explore the outdoors, connect as young adults, or simply meet to study and share life together.

Every group will experience the same biblical teaching, but apply it through a setting that feels natural and welcoming.

Throughout the challenge, local churches will host groups across the region, Lamppost Ministries will provide the study materials and support, and Live4It Community will help unite and encourage the broader community.

Then, on April 24, 2027, participants from across Northwest Georgia and Southeast Tennessee will come together at the Live4It Day of Community in Dalton, GA to celebrate the relationships formed, the lessons learned, and the progress made.

Different churches. Different activities. Different backgrounds.

One shared journey toward becoming More than Neighbors.

Lamppost Ministry Lenses

Each person connects differently, so the Lamppost Community Challenge offers several Ministry Lenses that bring the same biblical study into the everyday places where life already happens.

Whether you enjoy running, walking, the outdoors, gathering around a table, connecting with other young adults, or simply growing through everyday life, there is a Lamppost group for you. Every lens will walk through More Than Neighbors: A Biblical Worldview of Community, but each will apply the study in a way that fits its unique setting.

About Lamppost Ministries

Lamppost Ministries was founded by Mitchell Hollis and grew from the foundation established through Run for God, a ministry launched by Mitchell and his wife, Holly, in 2010. Run for God helped create running communities through more than 6,500 churches, schools, and organizations worldwide.

In 2026, Mitchell and Holly launched Lamppost Ministries to apply those same proven principles of discipleship and community to the everyday places where people already gather. Through running, walking, meals, outdoor activities, young-adult gatherings, and practical life application, Lamppost Ministries helps churches and individuals live out biblical worldviews in everyday life.

One study. Multiple ministry lenses. One region growing stronger together.
