Join us this November for the very first Lamppost Weekend in beautiful North Georgia. If you were around in the Run for God days, then you already know how special this can be. Make the trip to North Georgia, meet your online friends in person, share some great meals, run or walk a race, and finish the weekend by worshiping Jesus together under one roof. Friday Meetup

Nothing complicated, and nothing fancy. Just a relaxed time to gather, meet one another, maybe shake off those car legs with a short walk, and enjoy some good conversation together. More details will come as we get closer.

Saturday Dinner

This is where the weekend really starts to come alive. We’ll gather around the table, enjoy a great meal, laugh, pray, share stories, and celebrate one another. More details will come as we get closer and have a better idea of our final numbers.

We’ll finish the weekend together with Sunday morning worship at the church home of Lamppost Ministries, Grove Level Baptist Church. There’s no better way to end the weekend than praising Jesus together under one roof.

I'm not part of Lamppost Running or Walking. Can I come?

Absolutely. Even if you’re not part of Lamppost Running or Walking, we’d love to have you join us. Many will be racing on Saturday morning, but you’re welcome to come cheer everyone on or, even better, sign up and walk the 5K yourself. You definitely won’t be alone.

 

What is the cost?

That’s one of the best parts of this weekend. Most of it is simply about spending time together and getting to know one another, so there is very little cost involved. If you choose to race, there will be a registration fee for that. We’ll also host a Saturday evening dinner, and it will be very affordable. Church is free, and your travel and lodging are up to you. So depending on how you get here and where you stay, the cost can vary a little. If you arrive by private jet, that part is on you :)

 

Where should I stay?

The Friday meetup, Saturday evening dinner, and Sunday morning church will all take place in Dalton, Georgia. The race on Saturday morning will be in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, which is about 25 minutes away. You can stay in either Dalton or Ringgold, and both have great options.
