The Lamppost Update

October 2026

Hey Lamppost Family,

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost five months since we launched Lamppost Ministries, and let’s just say it’s been a pretty wild ride so far.

Some things have gone exactly as planned. Some things have gone a little differently than planned. And then there have been a few things come our way that we never saw coming at all.

I often say the Lord has a sense of humor, and over the past five months, I’m pretty sure He’s been having a little fun with us. 😂

My hope is that these newsletters will become a little more consistent going forward because I think the “drinking from a firehose” days may finally be behind us. I probably shouldn’t say that too loudly.

We’re starting to get into a groove. Our systems all seem to be cooperating with one another, which feels like a minor miracle in itself. Content creation now has a schedule instead of simply happening whenever we can squeeze it in. And our next Biblical Worldview Study, Contentment, is getting closer and closer to the proofing stage.

There is so much happening behind the scenes right now, and even more for us to be thankful for.

A few of those things are mentioned below, and we’ll be sharing much more in the days and weeks ahead. There are new opportunities, new relationships, new ideas, and a few things we’re working on that I’m really excited to tell you about when the time is right.

More than anything, I’m just incredibly grateful.

From all of us here at Lamppost, thank you for praying for us, encouraging us, sharing what we’re doing, purchasing Participant Kits, joining groups, and simply believing in this ministry.

We truly could not do what we do without you.

And if the first five months are any indication, I have a feeling God still has a few surprises up His sleeve.

Start a Lamppost Running Group

If you’ve ever wondered what Lamppost Running is or what it would look like to start a group in your church or community, we’ve created a new Start a Lamppost Running Group page just for you. The page walks through how the ministry works, what we provide, what a typical group looks like, and the simple steps to get started. Most importantly, we’ve added a brand-new video that gives a clear, high-level look at Lamppost Running and why we believe it can be such a powerful way to build biblical community through something people already love. Even if you’re just curious, take a few minutes to visit the page and watch the video. You may realize this is something you could lead.

Make the trip to North Georgia, meet your online friends in person, share some great meals, run or walk a race, and finish the weekend by worshiping Jesus together under one roof. It’s simple, powerful, and something you won’t want to miss.
